India’s largest online marketplace for Medical Labs Healthians.com has introduced crowd sourced sample collecting for home visits and crowd sourced hyperlocal doctors for complimentary test report reading and more.
Leading online marketplace for Medical Labs Healthians.com has made its service expansion plans vocal on World Health Day. With its service extension, the brand will be offering crowd sourced sample collectors for home visits, crowd sourced hyperlocal doctors for complimentary test report reading, apart from storing patients Medical Records online and more.
The online service provider has also launched free Doctor Helpline services to the users with an aim to take first or second opinion regarding medical tests.
“Our platform has received a strong support from healthcare industry. 100 per cent of the medical labs that we approached have tied up with us. Leading hospital chains too are supportive, and tie-ups with Max Healthcare, Medanta, BLK, Express Clinics, Artemis, etc. are in various stages of implementation," said Deepak Sahni, Founder- Healthians.com.
Significantly, the brand came into being with an aim to book tests online only, however, soon the company realized the traditional process was complex and inefficient, thus decided to improve it with advance services.
"With feedback from initial users, we thought about entire process of medical tests bottom up, and saw multiple pain areas. The traditional systems are cumbersome, needs multiple visits to the doctor first and then to the medical labs, afterwards doctor visit again with the test report. With Healthians, the patient gets better and faster experience as nearby home sample collectors will reach to the users and provide an experience that strictly adheres to medical guidelines. With our new services, post test reports would be given to hyperlocal doctors who may offer complimentary report reading on the same evening to the patient on call. The entire new process will help the doctors connect with patients easily.”
The online portal is gaining great response from the users with most initial growth parameter rising at 100 per cent month-on-month. The company is also in the process of tying up with chemists to aggregate offline demand of medicines and medicated products.
Even though we’ve expanded our services, the business model will remain asset light. The hyperlocal sample collectors and doctors are crowd sourced. Apart from convenience, speed and savings, the platform also offers digital storage of medical reports. The site features over 2,000 tests from 500 labs for curative, preventive and chronic categories.
