Now, human beings are blessed with a lot of options to bring back and maintain their manes. In a conversation with Dr Arvind Poswal MBBS (AFMC), Founder, Dr A’s Clinic, at the Franchise India 2017, he tells us about his brand, Dr A’s Clinic, the innovations he has brought into the hair restoration market and his views on the Franchise India 2017 event.

Kindly give us a brief about your brand.
Dr A’s Clinic is the world’s No.1 ranked Hair Transplant Facility Centre deals in moderate techniques of Hair Transplantation and Restoration. We have invented stitch-less FUSE technique, Body hair and beard hair-to-scalp transplants that has enabled numerous recent advances in the field of modern hair transplants. Our brand is the one-stop solution for any kind of hair problem where one can get the best quality solution that suits every individual who is suffering from hair loss or balding. The latest advances operated in hair restoration surgeries like FUSE technique and instrumentation provide world-class hair transplant services. Dr A's Clinic possesses expertise in advanced techniques like FUSE (Follicular Unit Separation Extraction), BHT (Body hair to scalp transplants), strip/FUHT technique, Trichophytic closure, hair transplant repairs, hair transplants in the scar, eyebrow restoration and also permanent hair removal.

What trends can you see emerging in the Indian medical aesthetics industry?
We see Medical Aesthetics as the most rising market In India and Overseas and the brands in the industry are experiencing a high demand for the services they provide. The biggest trends for us is the demand of groomed and modernisation both in male and female. People are getting more into their look-how and appearance and when one talks about their physical appearance, Hair-Style plays an intact role to complete the look. Apart from bald-headed people, we have seen several cases where people ask for celebrity kind of hair look to modernize themselves. Thus, we see Hair Transplantation is going to be one of the most booming industries in the coming years.

How important is franchising today for a brand to expand?
Franchise helps a brand to grow a business at rapid speed as it helps to make a company make its visibility the most. We are looking to expand our business by opening 100 franchise outlets by the end of 2020, out of which 50 outlets will cover Hair Transplantation Clinic and the rest 50 will be for counselling. Currently, we have our presence in India covering Delhi, Gurugram (Haryana) and Mumbai and have many counselling centres outside the country with presence in Paris, Poland, Italy, Australia, Germany, Bangladesh and Turkey.

Kindly tell us about your franchise models on offer and share its specifications.
Unlike many other brands, Dr A’s hair restoration brand is a fully trained, equipped and transparent in dealing. Unlike others, we train a complete team of doctors & technicians (chosen by the franchisee) to our level of expertise. We have a completely trained medical team that ensures that the franchisee does not have to wait for the franchisor to send his team. This way franchisee has a better chance to retain/ get the patient and franchisee has high earning model as he does not have to wait for any outside team. Post-association with our brand, the investor will get global brand tie-up at a minimal fee, along with global advertisement at a minimal fee (Rs 1crore/ year @ 5%).  For those investors wishing to invest less initially (eg. tier 2&3 cities), and are not doctors, the express franchise model is based on a combination of therapies. The express franchisee can upgrade to full franchisee when he feels comfortable and has a patient base.

How has been your experience at the Delhi Show 2017 so far?
Well, we appreciate the way Franchise India has planned the activity. The show was nice with a decent crowd. We have received many inquiries regarding our franchise model and hope to close soon. We will definitely plan to be a part in the coming years.
