Beauty expert Shahnaz Husain forays into fragrance market

Leading beauty expert Shahnaz Husain has launched signature perfume, exclusively created by the House of Galimard in Grasse, France.

Renowned veteran beauty expert Shahnaz Husain, who has captured a good pie in Beauty & Wellness industry with her signature skin care products, offers an exotic fragrance for the first time ever. ‘Just Shahnaz’ is specially created by the world renowned house of perfumes - Galimard in Grasse, France.

Grasse, a renowned traditional home of classic French perfumery since the 18th century, offers a special perfume creation experience, with a scent that is truly unique and individual.

Talking about her new move of entering into fragrance market, Husain shared, “Fragrance is an integral part of beauty and grooming as they add the finishing touch and also define our style statement. The USP of Just Shahnaz is the place of its creation, which is France, a country known for best fragrances. In fact, Grasse is known as the home of classic French perfumery since the 18th century. The other essential feature of it my commitment to nature, which Just Shahnaz perfume is keeping as the source of the bouquet is derived directly from natural essences and floral scents.”

The perfume’s top notes are derived from Bergamot, Caramel, Lilac and Ylang Ylang, while the middle notes come from Raspberry, Jasmine, Tuberose and Iris. The base notes of aromas that continue to linger are Amber, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla. These fragrances have been perfectly blended and harmonised to create ‘Just Shahnaz’, a customised and exclusive Shahnaz Husain Signature Perfumes.

Meanwhile, commenting on the strategy to promote her product in the highly competitive fragrance market, Husain said, “The Shahnaz brand has already established brand identity and brand loyalty. Like us, Indian consumers also have faith in our natural cosmetics and grooming aids. The fact that Just Shahnaz is made in France and contains herbal and floral extracts is sure to be a plus point for us.”

“According to the Economic Times, the fragrance industry in India is set to cross Rs.10,000 crores by 2015. An Assocham report says that people are nowadays more inclined towards personal hygiene and grooming and perfumes are also slowly becoming integral parts of people’s wardrobes. All these factors present a splendid opportunity of growth for the industry,” added she.

The exotic earthy fragrance and distinct floral notes have been specially selected and combined, to create an unforgettable, lingering perfume and are priced at Rs4,999.
