With the start of the winter season, the restaurants and various F&B joints in the country have come up with special winter menu offering varieties of food delicacies to take customer experience to a whole new level. 

The big deal

Restaurants and hotels in the country have come up with a wide range of winter menu and Thanksgiving menu at their joints to give customers a healthy menu option, especially crafted out of the seasonal food ingredients available in the market. Restaurant chains like Punjab Grill by Lite Bite Foods, Kesar, Ssence at The Surya, Rodeo and other food joints have come up with winter special menu for food lovers, who have an option to choose from a wide variety of mouth watering delicacies from these restaurants.

Punjab Grill, which serves authentic Punjabi cuisine, is all set to reveal its winter menu. The restaurant is organising a two day trip to Amritsar for the food lovers, where they will be paying a visit to the fields in traditional Punjabi attire. The participants will also pay a visit to the local farms, where they can experience and pick local vegetables and fruits to make lunch.

Forever Yogurt, which entered Indian market earlier this years in a master franchise agreement with Polo Towers Group has launched winter special menu in India. The US based brand known for serving world class yogurt has introduced Hot Chocolates with Marshmallows and waffles in a wide range to offer to the customer.

Ssence has come up with its special winter menu, which is a novel addition to the capital’s culinary delights and dining experience. The carefully planned and expensive new winter menu offers inspired selections that go beyond the traditional global fare. Extensive preparations span a gamut of experiences from Asparagus Champagne Risottos to Feta Cigar Rolls and modern interpretations of old Indian favourites.

“It has been a great journey in the crafting of the menu for Ssence. We have a great team of chefs and each dish will surprise you with the innovation and chemistry that goes behind it,” says Sanjay Bahl, Director, Food and Beverages, Ssence.

Rodeo, which is known for its Tex-Mex cuisine operated by SM Shervani, has introduced the concept of steak fest to cater to the customers this winter season. The restaurant has organised a ten day ‘Steak Festival’ from 28th November to 7th December.

The special ‘Steak’ menu features tender, juicy and delectable steaks that sizzle on the grill. The customers can take their pick from the array of options like Seafood Acapulco Steak, Camarones steak, Lemon Confit Fish Steak, Pomfret steak, Cowboy Steak Peperonata, Chicken Steak Marsala and much more. 

Moreover, the cowboys at Rodeo, in their hats and colourful ponchos, will set the Tex-Mexican mood promising an evening of unlimited fun. The restaurant is also organising performance by country singers and Dj’s.

“The steak festival allows us to break the monotony of our restaurant business for not only our customers but staff as well. It gives our chefs the ability to innovate and experiment with new dishes. To run a successful restaurant, one must periodically offer new items to customers,” believes Shervani, Owner, Rodeo and Former President FHRAI.

Benefits out of the deal

According to the restaurateurs, the foremost reason for introducing the scrumptious winter menu is the customers demand and cravings for the cosy sweet delights as it keeps the cold weather at bay and taste buds at heaven.

The new additions to the menu are conceptualised to cater to the varied dining preferences. The comprehensive range goes over a Western and Mediterranean Menu, while Indian remains a great favourite.

“The main benefit lies in the healthy and nutritious value of the home alike delights we are offering, which always gives a feel good factor to the customers,” shares Amandeep Sehgal, CEO, Kesar's restaurant.

Price range

These restaurants have kept their budget very flexible for such deal. Health of the customers is placed at priority, and hence, they have not set a specific budget for the same. They always welcome a customer demand with highest of the natural and nutritional value, which is far more important than the fixed budget incorporated.

The winter menu is priced somewhere between Rs 200 – Rs 2,000 depending on the choice of food items one prefers to take.

Thus, we can say that the winter menu is crafted considering in mind the taste and the health of the local customers without hitting his pocket.
