With festivity in air the restaurant industry is abuzz with all the excitements that surround Pujo, Diwali and Eid celebrations.
As the whiff of festivity gets thicker in the air, brands are out to get much more in-your-face. Restaurants are aggressively competing to design their best offerings as the month of celebration knocks their doors.

Hotels and restaurants are increasingly organising food festivals across India to bring the people on a festive mode. Restaurateurs are giving greater impetus to consumer experience that translates beyond just the regular run of the mill meal. This month, many popular as well as new eateries are hosting Thanksgiving Food Festivals, besides the regular food festivals around Bengali, Navratri, and Kashmiri cuisines with Eid on the way.
Restaurant like Khandani Rajdhani is offering special Navratri thali during all nine days to celebrate the excitement of nine joyous days, especially for the Navratri season. The restaurant is offering delicacies which are exclusively designed for the festive season like Rajgire ka thepla, Sabudana Khichdi, Singadeke Pakode, Rajgire ki kadhi, Sabudana Wada, and Rajgire ki puri amongst other.
On the other hand, The Mix by The BrewMaster is offering Bengali foods to celebrate the season of Durga Puja. Adding to the festivity, The Mix is organising a twenty days Bengali Food Festival from September 22 at its Kirti Nagar outlet in Delhi. By serving authentic Bengali foods in traditional way, the festival will give guests a feel and look of eating in Bengal itself.
The festival offerings would be available both during lunch and dinner. The meal for two would approximately cost around Rs 1200 plus taxes. “It is difficult to find the traditional taste when it comes to regional dishes served in Delhi. So to fill that gap, we keep organising regional food festival. At the time of Durga Puja, nothing could be more appropriate than Bengali food festival. So we have authentic Bengali dishes served the way it is in Bengal. I am sure that it shall be a hit with food connoisseurs and our regular guests alike," says, Chef Sanjeev Sharma, Executive Chef, The BrewMaster.
At the same time, Pepsico India has adopted a new marketing campaign to woo its customer this festive season by getting a chance to win free domestic tickets on purchase of its snack Kurkure.
"Our latest festive campaign seeks to reignite the warmth and love of celebrating as a family together. We are confident that this campaign will touch hearts,” says Vani Gupta, Director Marketing, PepsiCo India.
The promotion is valid till October 31, 2014 and a television commercial starring Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kapoor, Boman Irani and Farida Jalal will soon go on-air in this regard.
Seeing all this promotions, major hotel chains are also not lagging behind when it comes to showering festive discounts to their customers. The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi has introduced celebratory packages to indulge in this festive season. The group is offering a special package of Rs 10,500-12,000 per day from September 28 to October 5. The hotel will be offering complementary Indian sweet on arrival with 50 per cent discount on food and beverages at its restaurant Machan along with sightseeing in the capital.
With all these, the restaurants in the country are all set to celebrate the grand festive season which is on its way from last September till October offering a wide variant of food delicacies and hospitality.
