The Norwegian Government conducted an extensive research on the Indian seafood market and had been attempting various methods to penetrate the market in order to bring Salmon to the mainstream food category.

Norway exported seafood to the value of NOK 5.7 billion in July 2015. There has been a 15 per cent increase, compared with the same month in 2014.
