McDonalds to focus on bite-sized snack options in India

Westlife Development Limited, owner of the Master Franchisee of McDonald’s restaurants in West & South India has announced it is expanding its entrée offerings to include more bite-sized snack options on its menu with the introduction of Chilli Paneer Pockets.

The QSR chain is known for making exciting additions to ensure variety, freshness and a balanced choice for customers to opt from their veg and non-veg menu.

“At McDonald’s, we are committed towards innovating our menu and offering new, trendy value-oriented products for our customers. When it comes to food, customers today are increasingly seeking more variety and choices. The launch of Chilli Paneer Pockets is aimed at offering variety on our snack menu which appeals to the taste palette of our customers. The Chilli Paneer Pocket is an interesting fusion of our favorite spicy and tangy ingredients, presented in a uniquely McDonald’s way,” shared Kedar Teny, Director – Marketing & Digital, McDonald’s India – West & South India.

The irresistibly delicious Chilli Paneer Pocket is the latest addition in the sides and snack menu along with Mac Fries, McNuggets, McWings and Saucy Wraps.

The new product is an amalgamation of crunchy vegetables and fresh paneer, blended with hot and spicy sauce flavored with ginger, garlic, soya and vinegar.

The new mouth-watering snack can be enjoyed in 2, 4 & 6 pieces starting at Rs 35 for 2 piece pack available across McDonald’s restaurants in West and South India, from 1st August to 30th September, 2015.

The launch of the new Chilli Paneer Pockets is supported by a multi-channel advertising campaign. McDonald’s will run an integrated month long TV, Digital and outdoor campaign, accompanied by an in-restaurant merchandising.

The campaign is based around the tag line ‘#KuchPalOffline’ and will go on air on August 6, 2015.
