GAME-CHANGER IN EARLY EDUCATION

As India’s first Emotional Quotient (EQ)-focused early learning centre, Kennis is changing the way young kids learn, speak, empathize and be ready for the challenges of the future.

GAME-CHANGER IN EARLY EDUCATION

Life skills, emotional skills and social skills are often terminologies that are not found in the curriculum of a 1.5 to 5 years old child. For, it is lesser known that academic success needs a solid foundation of language, social skills, Emotional Intelligence (EI), and life skills without which the academic growth falters over time.

Being India’s first EQ smart preschool, Kennis is an EI-centric early childhood education provider.

Speaking about the need for EQ-focused preschools in India, Charuka Aulakh, Co-Founder and Parent Success Leader, Kennis, says, “Neuroscience research has proved that the earlier a child undergoes training that develops his EQ, the more he is equipped to meet life’s challenges, achieve academic success, and maintain a rich work and life balance. Thus, all such skills have to be nurtured and developed in the 0-5 years of age.

At Kennis, which means knowledge in Dutch, academicians create meaningful, life-enriching learning at the intersection of IQ and EQ.” Backed by a strong team of international academicians who have a cumulative experience of over 150 years in education, Kennis Preschools deliver uncommon educational value at one-third the cost of its ‘so-called’ comparables, while assuring important and fair accessibility to India’s fast growing middle-class, and public or non-profit partners.

8 TO 8 MODEL

After bringing a difference to hundreds of students’ and parents’ lives in Delhi NCR, Kennis is now looking at Pan-India expansion through a franchise model. Aulakh says, “We have a vision of changing a million lives by 2022 and strongly believe that for change to be felt across society, it needs to become a social movement just like global warming awareness or pollution control.” The brand has a uniquely profitable 8 to 8 model to ensure franchisee’s financial success.

Kennis Centres are communityfocused and have one goal– The Child’s Success. “Our success lies in the success of the franchise. Our global team, expertise and experience will ensure a healthy and profitable centre for our franchise partners,” Aulakh says. The unique model ensures breakeven within a year of operations. “Our 8 to 8 model enables a franchisee to maximise the utilization of the property by providing creative, sports and academic activities for kids from the age of 4 to 10 years. Coupled with our 8 to 8 model, a franchisee can expect to make margin of 50% or higher,” she elaborates.

WAY AHEAD

In the coming years, Kennis plans to grow organically in Delhi NCR and aims to open 50 centres. By 2024, it plans to be a strong brand with 800 learning centres.
