SHAPING UP A SKILLED INDIA

Where the usual syllabus-oriented education fails to provide graduates with jobs, CRB Tech moves in with a modern approach to acquiring and sharpening professional skills, thus raising the eligibility quotient of its students.

SHAPING UP A SKILLED INDIA

Although India is often addressed as the ‘land of skilled engineers’, two decades ago the scenario was largely different with most students facing rejections during placements. The common complaint was that they were unskilled. This formed the objective behind establishing CRB Tech in 2001. After serving prominent players in the IT, mechanical, electrical, civil and healthcare industries, CRB Tech realized most of the students were being called ‘unskilled engineers’ due to various reasons like age-old, non-updated syllabus, and lack of communication skills in students who had migrated from Tier I and II cities, among others.

FRANCHISING FOR GROWTH

With over 100 corporate trainers and 500 employee network and a vision to take quality training to all, CRB Tech has ventured into franchising. “Our vision is to have branches in various cities and help both the parents and students understand what the industry requirements are, what efforts are needed to reach corporate expectations, and how CRB’s job-oriented program is going to help them get their dream profile,” he says.

Speaking about the franchise support, Mandar, says, “The franchisee employees will be trained according to CRB’s guidelines, including sales training. For marketing purposes, CRB will provide all the brochures, pamphlets, product notes and prospectus.” Following a student’s admission, the responsibility of his or her training, assignments and placements will lie with CRB.

EXPANSION PLANS

In the next 12 months, CRB plans to open 30 branches across the country. “The vision of CRB is to become a deemed university of Research and Technology on gurukul concept. Students will travel to Pune and get accommodation at the CRB campus either free of cost or at minimum rates. Also, here maximum time of the student will be invested into grooming, studies and practicing, where trainers will dedicate most of the time on students’ learning and preparations for interviews,” Mandar informs. This gurukul concept will help students strategize their approach towards learning new things and being flexible.
