REDEFINING LUXURY LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Could you brief us about the journey of The Glamour Lounge so far?

What are the special services offered at The Glamour Lounge and what are the service charges?

The Glamour Lounge is a unisex salon and spa and thus all services relating to salon, beauty and spa for both men and women are offered here. We have a very strong focus on customer satisfaction and customer delight. While our services are priced in a premium range, we strongly focus on quality and delivery. We also have been awarded The Regional Debutante Salon of the Year 2018” by The Indian Salon & Wellness Congress 2018.

Who are your target consumers?

Our core customers are corporates and young working professionals. We cater mainly to the middle to upper class customers.

How good is your retail presence?

Currently we are operating out of one retail space of 2,300 sq. feet in the posh locality of Hitec City, Hyderabad. The strategic location of our salon gives us an advantage of both corporate clients in Hitec City to the rich and famous of Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills.

What are your marketing strategies? What percentage of your overall revenue goes into marketing and promotions?

We do a lot of offline as well as online marketing. Offline would be anything from newspaper inserts, to community tie-ups, corporate discounts, loyalty programs, referral programs, etc. In terms of online marketing, we have a lot of digital coverage and social media presence. Additionally, we reach out to our regular customers via SMS and e-mail promotions, among other things. On an average, about 10 – 15% of the revenue goes into advertising and marketing.

What are your plans for expansion in terms of retail presence and also the services being offered?

The Glamour Lounge is planning to open around 100 outlets by 2025 pan-India by way of both franchising as well as company outlets.

What is the current situation of the salon and spa industry? How is it evolving in India?

The overall wellness industry stands at Rs 500 billion, out of which 50% share accounts for the salon and spa sector. The overall industry in India is booming with tremendous potential for growth in 2018. Today, consumers are spending heavily on their appearance and this does not only constitute women population but also men.

How well does franchise model work for salon and spa industry?

This model is an emerging trend in this space and I think that a brand franchise can definitely give a muchneeded boost to your newly opened outlet.
