ADOPTING RATIONAL APPROACHES IN EARLY LEARNING

Early education plays an integral role in shaping the personality of children who are going to be the future leaders of this country. Hence, one cannot deny the relevance of pre-schooling. Parents do understand that textual knowledge is not going to fit the bill in this competitive era. Therefore, it is quite essential to lay a strong foundation of knowledge, skills and values for these young comrades who are all set to face the intrinsic challenges of life. Given this base, there are many players that have forayed into the early learning sectors, one of them being Olivers Early Learning Centre by Meridian, headquartered at Hyderabad’s Madhpur, which is now taking the baton of education pan-India with an aim to franchise for growth.

Olivers Early Learning Center-by Meridian, a premium range of preschools, has been taking forward the legacy of the brand for over a period of 20 years. The school aims to inculcate values, good manners and language learning among many other skills in children at a tender age. “Our goal at Olivers is to develop children, not with just the 3 R’s - reading, writing and arithmetic – but also to equip them as creative thinkers, problem solvers and team players,” says Tejaswi Butta, its founder. “Our aim is to prepare kids for higher studies as well life,” she adds.

Unlike other pre-schools, Olivers refrains itself from a huge title; rather the founder has chosen a meaningful name that could reach the minds easily. Butta convinces why name holds an important part in this business. “This name has been derived from two sources – one, the olive tree which symbolizes peace and the other, our mascot, a penguin, which is the most social living being – poetic, artistic and intellectually gifted.” The mascot has indeed enticed a lot of parents to the institution.

REDEFINING EDUCATION

The great minds behind the inception of Olivers outline four main pillars of early learning education, namely:

>> Interiors and Infrastructure: According to research, schools with good infrastructure encourage students to perform better. From colourful walls, comfortable furniture to fun learning material, everything leaves an impact over a child’s mind. “In order to bring out the hidden potential of the child, we provide world-class infrastructure that feeds creativity,” Butta says.

>> Methodology: The brand has excelled for more than 20 years in the industry with a highly competitive curriculum that focuses on skill-based learning. In order to incorporate requisite proficiencies among children, activites based on STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math are developed. Curriculum and methology are ever evolving with the latest trends in education.

>> Eco-System: The school believes in building an eco-system with global standards, offering unparalleled quality. Moreover, the school makes sure that each and every kid studies in a safe and secured environment.

FRANCHISING WITH OLIVERS

Olivers is already a successful brand in the education industry and is ready to join hands with like-minded people across the country. Olivers has a lot in its bag. The institution is not only confined to early learning education but also day care and extra-curricular activity centres. Their first in this business is the Happy Feet Club, a pre and postschool programme that has a panel of experts who help kids in honing their skills and turning their passion into goals. Moreover, the school provides a helping hand to their partners with holistic training provided to teachers and staff members. “We have unique standards and premium quality imparted by highly trained, motivated and efficient facilitators to make sure that the child has the best experience,” she assures.

EXPANSION PLANS

The organisation is planning to expand in cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai. “With flexible fee structure, we are targeting premium franchising locations,” she reveals. The target age group is 0.3 months to six years and the present fee structure ranges from 70,000-1 lakh per annum.
