BAKING A GOOD BUSINESS

Providing quality products at a competitive price since the last 30 years, Crème De Fiesta has gone out of the way to rate customer service as of utmost importance, writes Zarafshan Shiraz.

BAKING A GOOD BUSINESS

There are many factors that lead to long-term success in a business venture. Quality and pricing are of course at the top of the list. And so is technology. As Saifuddin Habibulla, Director, Crème De Fiesta, puts it, “We have kept abreast with the latest technology to give tasty and healthy products made using superior quality in-gredients like zero trans-fat, zero cholesterol and pure vegetarian products. Also, innovation plays a crucial role. For instance, we have introduced cracker-type biscuits using organic and natural ingredients without artificial additives and chemicals.”

EARLY START, RAPID RISE
He was only 13 years of age when he started to dream about owning his own bakery – a dream that turned into reality soon.
For 30 years now, Saifuddin has been working hard to make his products the best. “We have constantly endeavoured to give our customers something new all the time. For example, we have developed a range of crackers and biscuits made of Farroh or Emmer wheat flour, especially for diabetic patients. The flour is low-gluten and high-fiber. Rock salt and cold-pressed
sesame oil is used along with stevia plant extract which is a substitute for sugar,” he informs.

There are 8 products in this range, made as per the directives of a team of doctors, which, when taken in small quantities, can become a safe and nutritious snack for people with diabetes. The company, exports its cookies, kharis, toasts and biscuits to the UAE, US, Africa, Singapore and Malaysia while its franchise cake shops are currently in Pune only. “We can claim to be one of the very few bakeries in Pune which offer a whole range of bakery and confectionary products, right from special occasion cakes, pastries, cookies, biscuits, kharis, toasts and packed cakes to speciality breads, pita breads, puff patties and savouries all under one roof,” Saifuddin says.

He is now exploring the option of spreading his franchise network in other cities and with more outlets in Pune too. “In the next five years we envision ourselves having master franchisees in a number of cities in India as well as overseas,” he states.
