Jumbo King, the fast food giant, is set to grow in size in Mumbai in the next two years. Women franchisees hurry to binge on this opportunity.

JUMBO King, a chain of ‘vada paav’ outlets that began its journey in 2001 has transformed itself as an eminent leader in the Indian fast food industry. With 19 franchisees in tow, Jumbo King has grown manifold over the years. Inspired by western models, Jumbo King believes in serving hygienic food at affordable prices!

The company helps franchisees in recruiting trained staff and provides them training to maintain quality, service and cleanliness standards. The highlight of the franchising model is that any franchisee adhering to the company's standards can build multiple stores and eventually enjoy the success.Jumbo King is mulling an aggressive expansion strategy and is eyeing to open at least 200 outlets in Mumbai in the next two years.

Though Jumbo King is yet to have any women franchisees, Dheeraj Gupta, Managing Director, Jumbo King Foods Pvt Ltd, believes that the brand is an apt platform for women franchisees to join and reap rich dividends in the fast food lane.

Speaking on the opportunity offered by Jumbo King for prospective women entrepreneurs, Gupta avers: “We have completed 10 years in the industry. At least 20 per cent of the staff associated with the brand are women and this will be an added advantage for women entrepreneur. Besides, it requires a minimum of around five persons to run a Jumbo King outlet.”
