Bombay Dyeing plans to set up 100 of its own retail shops, apart from refurnishing 90 franchisee shops in the next three year period. The company is setting up a Rs 206 crore processing unit along with in-house stitching facilities at Ranjangaon near Pune, which is expected to commence operations from September 2007. This unit is expected to mitigate to a large extent the cost disadvantage suffered by the division at its current location in Mumbai.

The company's polyester staple fibre plant will commence by September 2007. The company hopes to achieve textile exports of Rs 155 crore in FY 08 as compared to Rs 147 crore earned during FY 07.
