Café. Turtle plans 50 outlets by 2009

Delhi-based fast-food chain, Cafe Turtle has planned to go national with a target of 50 outlets by 2009 across India.

It will adopt the franchise model and is targeting cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Noida. Owned by owners of Full Circle publishing house and Hind Pocket Books, the outlets are purely vegetarian.

A unique feature of the chain is that a bookshop accompanies its every outlet. The outlets offer main course and snacks. The outlets also sell various varieties of packaged tea. Every Saturday a special lunch is available for people who enjoy experimenting with different cuisines. The café will also have book readings, art exhibitions, painting workshops, etc.
