Blinkit, Zomato's quick commerce platform, is set to introduce a new category of high-value items, including jewelry, with a 30-minute delivery service starting next year. Supported by a network of "express dark stores," the initiative is expected to roll out by mid-FY26. This move aims to increase Blinkit's average order value (AOV) and intensify competition with e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart.
Blinkit's 30-minute delivery of high-value items will be powered by express dark stores—mini warehouses ranging from 7,000 to 8,000 square feet. These stores will house larger products such as instant water heaters and air purifiers, marking a shift from the platform's current 10-minute delivery service for smaller items.
