e-platform for MSMEs

The ministry of finance has launched an e-platform for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for discounting the bills on their supplies to larger companies. The platform is known as NTREES which is an acronym for Trade Receivables Engine for E-discounting.

NTREES is promoted by Small Industries Development Bank of India and National Stock Exchange. NTREES is supposed to provide a qualitative approach to addressing the needs of the MSMEs and is expected to become an optimum framework and institutional mechanism.
