iTraveller.com (iTraveller Technologies Private Limited), a technology driven travel marketplace startup based in Bangalore, has announced it is looking to raise series B round of $10 million.
iTraveller.com had raised $1Mn in February this year from a clutch of investors, including ah! Ventures, LetsVenture & Mantra Ventures.
Founded in early 2012, iTraveller is a proprietary technology backbone, which functions as a marketplace for holidays. The travellers can discover, plan and book their trips. They can completely customize & buy their trips online. On the supply side, iTraveller aggregates native wholesale suppliers who are responsible for the operational aspects of the business that includes ground handling and fulfillment. This pans out a scalable marketplace model for holidays, for the first time in India.
“The next large round that we are looking to raise would be used to give a substantial boost to our marketing and branding initiative along with beefing up our technology capabilities internally,” Shiju Radhakrishnan, Founder & CEO, iTraveller told EI.
“We have a 35 members team now which we plan to take up to 60 by end of June and to 200 once we raise our next round. We are seeing a 12 per cent month on month growth in gross sales value since February 2015 and plan to reach USD 1 Billion GSV by 2019,” said, Radhakrishnan.
