WizIQ Recordor can be used by teachers to facilitate flipped classrooms, offer distance learning, host MOOCs, etc.
Online education platform WizIQ launches WizIQ Recordor, an easy to use authoring tool for teachers to create synchronized video lectures using their PowerPoint presentations. The tool runs as a simple add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint and is free to download.
WizIQ Recordor enables teachers to record their live audio over the presentation slides and synchronize it with presentation content and animations. The recorded presentations get converted into engaging MP4 videos that can be uploaded to WizIQ Content Library and shared with students via email, right from within PowerPoint. The software provides features to record an audio live, pause and resume, re-record an active slide and check upload history.
The videos created using WizIQ Recordor can be used by teachers to facilitate flipped classrooms, offer distance learning courses, host MOOCs, provide training seminars or to supplement classroom learning with additional content.
These videos are available both offline (stored on the user's computer) and online (uploaded to WizIQ).
Harman Singh, CEO of WizIQ, says, "The teachers needed a simple yet powerful authoring tool to create engaging e-Learning content using their PowerPoint slides. The lecture recording softwares available in the market are either too complicated to use or very expensive. WizIQ Recordor lets even a non-technical user create video lectures in minutes and at no cost."
With this new tool, teachers can record audio lectures in real time, bring PowerPoint content to life with live audio narrations, create synchronised multimedia presentations and share content and reach millions of learners.
The WizIQ Recordor currently works with the 32 bit version of PowerPoint 2007, 2010 and 2013, and operating systems Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. Stay tuned for more advanced features.
