GoPeppers.com was set up by three engineering graduates in India more than a year ago. Now, the e-grocery startup is becoming a hit in Noida.
Divyanshu Bansal, CEO, GoPeppers.com said, "We decided to set up an e-grocery retail platform because of the rising cosmopolitan culture and chances for the services industry in the grocery market."
“Online groceries business differs from typical e-commerce business because the margins are thin and costs are high. An average transaction consists of more than 50 items, making both inventory management and logistics a big challenge,” Bansal said further.
The company has 10 employees in delivery and ground staff. Some of the operations are outsourced for better efficiency. The firm decided to target Noida because it has a conducive eco-system. Corporates and technocrats strive hard to fulfil their daily needs either running to a supermarket or to a local ration shop where they have to spend in long hours to reach the supermarket and stand long in queues for getting their stuff billed or have to manage in limited offerings from a ration shop, making the city an ideal opportunity for the online grocers.
