The Mozambican delegation led by Leda Hugo, Vice Minister of Education, Republic of Mozambique, on its India trip has expressed desire of getting technical assistance from India for carrying out programmes on vocational training and setting up of new enterprises in Mozambique.
The delegation on Tuesday met the new MSME Minister, K H Muniyappa, and said that they are looking forward to learn from India’s experience and expertise in this area.
The Minister of MSME offered all required support and assistance to Mozambique for evolving programmes for the promotion of vocational training in their country.
The Indian side referred to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ministry of MSME, India and Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Mozambique, and stated that specific projects that are mutually agreed could be taken up under the MoU.
The Indian side further stated that National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) is setting up a vocational training centre/incubation centre at Maputo under the India-Africa Forum Summit. Based on the performance of this centre, this initiative could be replicated in other parts of Mozambique.
