Modification of TUFs for textile industry

With a view to make the SMEs in the textile sector technologically advanced the central government is considering to introduce modifications in Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS). This was announced by union textiles minister, Thiru Dayanidhi Maran.

The minister also emphasised on the need to review the working of TUFS and make necessary changes so that the SMEs can benefit more from the scheme.

The textile industry is happy with the proposal and is expecting a a boost in production and also export because of it.
