Women-focused online marketplace, Ladyblush has raised undisclosed amount of seed funding from Bangkok based VC Fund, Alpha Founders.
As per Johannes von Rohr, Managing Partner, Alpha Founders, the decision to invest into Ladyblush.com was guided by strong economics, a differentiated strategy and an excellent growth trajectory over the last months. “Compared to other players in the market, Ladyblush has a very clear positioning paired with extremely lean operation. These ingredients will make the business scale easily,” said Rohr in a press release.
The company has been operating for five months, growing over 50 per cent in February alone.
Rahul Sethi, CEO Ladyblush, said, “We are excited about the investment. Alpha Founders are complementing our team and business model with years of e-commerce expertise. They also bring aboard a network of co-investors for additional future funding rounds.”
“Ladyblush is a true marketplace where the biggest differentiator consists in the way we structured the business. Unlike general perception about e-commerce businesses, we do not need millions of dollars to hit scale and profits. Instead, we have invested significantly in systems and processes to achieve a low cost, high margin ‘scalable business’,” added Sethi.
