KVIC promotes traditional products

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will facilitate marketing and sales of the traditional products, said Dinsha Patel, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), in Rajya Sabha.

 

The KVIC does the marketing of such products through its sales outlets called Departmental Bhawans. To improve the quality and designs of KVI products, the commission has adopted ways like creation of brands ‘Khadi’, ‘Sarvodaya’ and ‘Desi Aahar’; implementation of   the   Product   Development, Design Intervention and Packaging (PRODIP) scheme and tie-ups with various leading textile and fashion-design institutes across the nation.
