The government is also working on a separate policy for the development of start-up businesses.
State Finance Minister Saurabh Patel announced that the Gujarat government is likely to launch new policies for MSME sector and start-up businesses, as per a PTI report.
After the announcement of electronics policy, IT policy and e-Governance policy, the government has showed the interest to announce the policies for SMEs.
"Gujarat government will soon announce a new policy for MSME sector. The government is also working on a separate policy for the development of start-up businesses “Patel told PTI.
He further added, "We are also mulling over a new 'start-up policy' to encourage and support new innovations. We have invited suggestions from experts in this field to find out ways to help young entrepreneurs in the state."
The industrial exhibition, which will be organised by Vadodara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) on November 27 - December 1 in Vadodara will provide SME and MSME sectors a perfect platform to scale up.
"The exhibition will have 600 stalls of different sectors, such as engineering and machine tools. For the first time, we have also given space to 115 innovations, selected from several entries after scrutiny. In coming days, we are planning to organise such exhibitions in other cities ahead of Vibrant Summit 2015," Patel told PTI.
