A year-old startup, nurturey.com is an online platform that offers intuitive and secure digital 'productivity tools' for parents. Its vision is to simplify parents' lives around kids, eliminating chaos and anxiety.
Nurturey.com closed the funding of $125K from 118 different investors from 12 countries of EU such as UK, Spain, France, Italy etc. Within a span of five days, the issue was oversubscribed at seedrs.com and the company was able to raise double the amount they initially intended. These investors showed their interest for investing in Nurturey by looking at a profile and the prototype version of the product.
Nurturey.com is using this money to expand its user base and product development to build up the platform that is user friendly, intuitive and visually appealing.
Tushar Srivastava, CEO and founder, nurturey.com said, "It was our conscious strategy to raise seed funding from crowdfunding, as many of the investors are parents themselves and their financial backing provides the concept a huge vote of confidence. In fact, one of the investors called me to say that he just had a baby and is investing because he needs this platform."
Vatsal Goel, COO,nurturey.com, said, "Majority of the funds will be used for key product upgrades with creative features, development of mobile apps and marketing of the product."
