The helpline is known as Udyami Helpline and is based on the single-window concept. The toll-free number will serve businessmen across the country. The government has sanctioned Rs 7.6 crore for the helpline in the XIth Plan. The process of starting the helpline began in 2009. The ministry appointed Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) as its main consultants.
Entrepreneurs can approach the call centre for details of various stakeholders, such as banks, financial institutions and other related agencies.
