"The bank is committed to assist and encourage women entrepreneurs and will continue to provide necessary financial help to them to fulfil their dreams," BoM, Executive Director, R K Gupta said.
He was speaking on the eve of International Women's Day at the 'Women entrepreneurs' meet', organised by BoM along with the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture.
"The bank envisages economic empowerment of women through supporting their enterprises. Besides concessional interest rates, they are also provided trade-related training, information, counseling and consultancy," he said.
P N Deshpande, General Manager, BoM, said: "Entrepreneurship is one of the effective tools of gaining financial independence for women. The qualities like financial understanding, honesty, hard work and positive attitude are natural traits in most women. That is why they are successful entrepreneurs."
