Venturesity was founded by the co-founders Subhendu Panigrahi, Prashant Koirala and Myna Bisineer.
Venturesity, a Bangalore based start-up which allows companies to discover top talent has raised seed funding of of Rs 1.6 crore ($250,000) from Phanindra Sama, co-founder, RedBus, Jay Sethuram, partner, Crestlight Venture Partners, Hemant Kanakia, founder and CEO, Torrent Networking Technology and founder of angel fund and incubator Srijan Capital Ravi Trivedi.
“Our challenges are real world projects that would help candidates showcase their job skills to prospective employers and build credibility into their profiles. Our challenges are in the form of Hackathons, Codesprints, Codejams and Online Contests,” said the company.
Venturesity was founded by the co-founders Subhendu Panigrahi, Prashant Koirala and Myna Bisineer. Panigrahi earlier was a shelf life engineer at Infratab Inc and co-ordinator at Entrepreneurship Cell. Koirala was handling operations in IDDCR (education), SleepCare (healthcare), Transaction Advisory: FOCUS (Digital Media, Education, Technology Services) and Investments : American Capital (NASDAQ: ACAS).
Bisineer used to work as VP at Vijay Spheroidals (manufacturing), Product Manager at i2 Technologies (Boston, USA), Project Engineer at Ferro Corporation (Pittsburg, USA).
"Passive job seekers form 20 per cent of the user network. It is more of a challenge model, and not the regular, run-of-the-mill interview problem sets, and is gaining a lot of momentum," said Panigrahi.
