AskMe, the flagship product from Getit Infomedia has announced its acquisition of Accelity BestAtLowest Online Services Pvt Ltd. which operates through BestAtLowest.com, an online super market.
AskMe is a one stop destination to find information related to anything and everything; be it restaurants, travel, matrimony, jobs, education, mobile, gadgets, etc. AskMe, launched in June 2011, is available 24X7 for consumers across all major cities in India.
“We cater to your immediate and impulsive requirement of information on mobile, internet and voice. AskMe has an extensive directory of information from across India that is both accurate as well as diverse,” said the company’s blog.
As part of the agreement, the e-commerce portal will become part of AskMe along with its team of 25 people, including founders Ankit Jain and Amit Nigam.
“With improved comfort of online payments, we see Indian consumers choosing to shop groceries online. With 25,000 SKUs and 10,000 orders a month by July 2015, we are confident that AskMe Grocery will assume a pan-India presence by end of FY 2015-16,” Manav Sethi, head (marketing and digital products), AskMe.
BestAtLowest.com has over 7000 products across different categories spread in both fmcg and non-fmcg sectors.
