With a view to taking entrepreneurship forward by developing an ecosystem conducive enough for the same All India Management Association (AIMA) organized a conference in association with the University of St Gallen, Switzerland.
The conference which was titled “Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship” was attended by Industry and commerce minister Anand Sharma, Deputy Chaiman Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahlluwalia, Sanjeev Goenka, Pesident AIMA and several others.
“The subject of entrepreneurship is important and interesting but not recent. Since the beginning the human race has been enterprising. We need to create a way where the enterprising minds can have access to opportunities which can help them implement their idea,” said Sharma.
Emphasizing on the need for the business community to take the initiative rather than depending on the government, Montek Singh Ahllkuwalia said, “The world is going to be a tougher place from now on. We must encourage competition. There is a need for the business community to develop an ecosystem to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship.”
The conference consisted of several sessions chaired by top entrepreneurs like RS Sharma, Chairman and MD ONGC, Rajive Kaul, Chairman, Nicco Corporaion Ltd, Harsh P Singhania, MD, JK Papers.
