In an interaction with Amol Arora, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Shemford & Shemrock Group of Schools, we tried to understand the franchise business in the education sector and how a brand succeeds in doing so.
Here are the excerpts from the interview:
Engaging programs dictating the market of the schools business
First, the franchise mode is gaining immense growth and popularity. This trend is fueled by increasing demand for quality education among parents. As a result, there are more opportunities for educators to design an environment where kids can come and learn in a fun environment.
Moving on, the preschool business will continue to grow. It is perhaps the best time for entrepreneurs to open a preschool. The changing society is acting as a growth factor, where more parents are preferring quality knowledge in the early formative years of their children.
The inception of the Shemrock preschools
In 1989, my mother was searching for a suitable preschool for my sister. But she couldn’t find anything worthy. So, she decided to take the matter into her own hands and established Shemrock Preschool. Having a background in Home Science and child development, she was well-equipped to establish a fun-filled learning environment. The school introduced a revolutionary concept and was hugely popular among parents.
Currently, we have 625+ branches in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. We are also one of the fastest growing school networks in the region, with new schools opening every week.
