The Indian education industry is expanding in such a way that it’s offering opportunities and learning to every segment of our population. Keeping the importance of education in mind, many educators are coming up with schools and institutes, focusing on differently-abled children.

Today’s educators are designing their offerings keeping the local existing community in mind. India is especially witnessing a number of new special schools coming up, looking to cater specifically to this population.

The Rise in Demand of Professional Instructors

Boarding skilled and trained professional becomes a necessity while you are running a special school business. Each child has their own different needs which professionals need to identify and cater accordingly.

Also, not only just education, engaging activities, several therapies like speech and physiotherapy are other options which could prove to be beneficial while running a special school.

Dr. Vandana Sharma shares, “Each child in our campus has different needs and we have different rehabilitation professionals to cater them. The professionals are well trained to take care of all their needs and they try to rehabilitate them to the best of their capabilities.”

“The experts provide them different therapies, such as speech therapy, special education, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and yoga therapy and help them rehabilitate in their community,” she further adds.

Empowering Special Children for Future Job Prospects

Educators are breaking the trend where initially they were just educating these children along with nurturing them with basic knowledge. But now things are no more the same.

Today’s educators are making sure that these children are being offered quality education, helping them compete and generate future job prospects.

Vandana shares, “MBCN’s Sheltered workshop provides vocational training to students under the Swayamprogramme. Here differently abled person make eco-friendly paper products for corporate and retail outlets. These handmade products are sold at MBCN Kiosks Outlets at WAVE mall -Noida, Lucknow, and Ludhiana.”

“We provide open employment with relevant job opportunities. A total of 15 students have been trained and placed in the school itself as assistant to therapists. Apart from this 15 other trainees have got suitable job opportunities in different companies,” adds Vandana.
