The state of Kerala has come up with a major step “Kool” in order to become India’s first and only digital state in education.

Indian education industry is constantly on a roll of evolution, giving birth to many new innovations and segments in the education industry. The current trends and expectation of people are contributing towards this transformation; as people are demanding for add-on experiences and personalized learning experiences.

What is Kool?

The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for education has rolled out an online open training program, designed to train teachers, students, and the general public.

Keeping the rise of technology in mind, the state government is making a move towards transforming the state education system by completely digitalizing it.

The Rise of Tech-Era

The national and international education system is being rapidly influenced by the rise and continuous innovation in the technology stream. Especially, with the rise in a number of local hi-tech population, the demand for skilled and trained teachers is also on the rise.

According to a press release, Kool was launched in order to train teachers and students on different available domains respectively. The program is incorporated in the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) model, which is gaining worldwide popularity in today’s time.

Generating Opportunities and Learning via Digitalization

Professor C Raveendranath, State Education Minister stated, “KOOL is a major step by the State of Kerala to become India’s first complete digital state in Education.”

The array of features for people in the form of animation assistants and video tutorials is expected to enhance the learning procedure, along with generating business and job opportunities for people.

K Anvar Sadath, Vice Chairman and Executive Director, KITE explained, “We have 200 mentors with a capacity to train 4,000 persons at a time. It is compulsory for teachers to successfully complete 45 hours of computer course in order to clear their probation.”
