In  an  exclusive  interview with Ms. Shradha  Kanwar, the National Head, Learning & Development iNurture, we came across the EdTech Innovation Ecosystem and its importance in the Educational space. 

Tell us your views on Edtech Ecosystem.

In educational space, the whole idea is that we have different people, different stakeholders, involved in designing the ecosystem. And the idea is to make it better for the learners. So, when we look at Learning Ecosystem, all the stakeholders have to connect together and synergise so that there is synthesis of ideas and if that happens in an integrated manner, naturally the Learning experience will be enhanced.

And if you look at innovation, the whole idea of innovation in education Technology context is that it has to create multiple values. So, what one person can do, say there is a government enterprise and a business enterprise and when they come together, the value is definitely more amplified. So, that’s where innovation is so critical.

When we talk about the impact of it on the student, we know that everything is transforming now and at an exponential rate. So, there isn’t a set pattern that we can confirm to or predict. We can’t have a predefined outcome so that’s exactly where Innovation in EdTech Ecosystem is important because it will help the students and other people to adapt and to succeed in the new world of work a s they say.

Let’s talk about students now. Is there any filtration or any observation done on what students want from EdTech Ecosystem? How is it working?

I think there is a still gap in the ability of many service providers in the Education Technology space to understand the student’s sensibility and sensitivity because we go from a predefined outcome of a product or a service and therefore we are not a able to see value being created out of it, so we suddenly discover that the service itself was inadequate.

So the whole ability to understand the mindset of today’s learners, not just today in the present but also in the future for everything moving in so rapidly,

When we talk about EdTech Innovation ecosystem, do you see it going to different sectors in Education?

Yes, there will be that diversification which is important but as we were discussing in one of the panel discussions, unless it’s holistic and systematic in nature, if we do it in a centric manner, it will not succeed. It will diversify but at the same time it has to converge in that one thing which is leading to a better learning experience.

If that is managed, I think there will be a fantastic time ahead.
