Eurokids has again entered the prestigious Franchise 100 list 2020, published by The Franchising World magazine. The company scored high across 45 parameters of the survey,
The Mumbai-based preschool chain has one of the largest networks in India with around 1,100 preschools and 30 K-12 schools. The brand, which started its journey in 1997 with two preschools in Mumbai, now has its presence in three countries and over 350 towns and cities.
Among several factors that contributed to Eurokids’ entry into the Top 100 list included the company’s robust franchise growth of over 42%, its well-oiled business model and curriculum. The company grew its franchise centres count from 800 franchisee-run preschools in 2017 to over 1,140 in 2019.
The brand offers extensive support to franchise partners under its franchise model, EDGE 360°. It helps franchisees from setting up of the centre with infrastructure and ambience design assistance to providing equipment and teaching aids to run the preschools. In addition, Eurokids has recently upgraded its pedagogy with the ‘mindful’ curriculum of EUNOIA, which is based on the concept of integrating mind, body and soul.
Prajodh Rajan, Co-Founder and CEO, Eurokids International, highlighted, “We measure the franchise ecosystem on the occupancy rate at which the centre is operating. Another important factor is the market penetration we achieve with each new centre. Currently, we have a good number of preschools in the top 20 cities including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.”
He further adds, “We aim to maintain the franchise sustenance success ratio which starts right from the location selection process before signing up a franchise. Several of our partners have scaled their success to new heights with not just one but multiple centres.”
The preschool chain now aims to drive its growth in day care, early childhood education & K12 education. “We aim to triple our network of pre-schools in the next five years. We believe there is great potential in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, which is one of our focus areas along with Metro and Tier 1 markets,” Rajan says.
