Dr. Atish Laddad Shares His Vision About The Future Of Children Healthcare Industry In India

The Indian healthcare industry is growing at a rapid pace, predicted to nearly touch a figure around US$ 280 billion by 2020. India is on the verge of becoming a healthcare hub globally, witnessing new start-ups and big players contributing heavily towards this industry.

2018 experienced several growth factors that contributed to the booming of the Indian healthcare industry. The rise in income level, growing health awareness, and increased lifestyle diseases were a few factors that hugely contributed to the growth of the Indian healthcare industry.

Additionally, this sector is predicted to generate job opportunities by offering nearly 40 million jobs in India by 2030.

Safeguarding student’s health and creating a high-quality foundation for children well-being was a new idea that penetrated the Indian healthcare industry recently.

In a telephonic interaction with Wellness India, Dr.Atish Laddad, Founder and Director, Docterz talks about engaging schools for promoting children healthcare within the school’s premises.

Making Schools Safe

Dr.Atish says, “Being a practicing doctor myself, we are trying to build useful technologies that could cater to a child’s healthcare in the modern time. As our brand comprises of two verticals, Docterz at Schools is focusing on making schools safe for children. Indian schools in the recent time are witnessing several mishaps and events that need to be considered as educators and parents both. Keeping this in mind, we are trying to provide infrastructure within a school’s campus so that whenever an emergency is required, staffs could easily utilize the present medical tools and technologies for ensuring children’s safety.”

The Booming Healthcare Industry

Dr. Atish explains, “The Indian children healthcare industry is doing well in the last few years. The industry is constantly reinventing that is resulting in the rapid growth of this industry. With various schemes coming in from different healthcare brands, we are trying to find the middle path for creating a win-win situation for all. With changing lifestyles and people indulging more into healthcare, the industry is predicted to grow more in time to come. With several healthcare sectors still to be penetrated, the healthcare industry is under evolution that would be generating numerous business opportunities.”

Introduction of New Concepts

Dr. Atish adds, “We are trying to introduce right infrastructures that could prove beneficial for a child’s healthcare at schools. We are trying to introduce casualty rooms that can stabilize medical urgency at schools. Also, we are trying to introduce tech-based health setups on a mobile-based platform, getting accurate data about how many children are overweight, underweight, and other essential health issues.”
