Businesses Are About To Get A Tech Upgrade by Jio

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy over the last five decades. It contributes significantly to the economic and social development of the country by fostering entrepreneurship and generating largest employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost, next only to agriculture.

In today’s changed economic scenario, there is a need to encourage entrepreneurship, employment and livelihood opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs. The next big transformation for businesses will be access to affordable ultra-broadband as there are many businesses that do not have high-speed connectivity.

In India, there are 5,000 large enterprises and 1.4 million registered small and medium businesses, in addition to 51 million registered micro, small and medium enterprises. Although, out of which merely 1 million have wireline connectivity. Businesses have been deprived of telecom connectivity.

Thus, to bridge this gap, Jio is coming up with affordable ultra-broadband packages for business customers to leverage them with the benefits of the internet.

The benefit of Enterprise Customers

Owing to its vast production, export and job creation potential, MSME sector is considered the backbone of India’s economy. MSME contributes to 38% of India’s GDP (gross domestic product). The government, as well as major companies, are rolling out various initiatives to encourage this sector.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently unveiled an automated portal that allows a credit of up to Rs 1 Crore to boost the MSME sector. In addition to this, Amazon India also collaborated with FISME will empower Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to leverage growth opportunities in the e-commerce sector.

Jio aims to offer ultra-high bandwidth to enterprise consumers with cost-effective futuristic technologies. Access to broadband will allow them to transform and help in not just reskilling, but will up skill as they participate fully in the digital economy.
