Wok Boyz Asian Street Food is a Dubai-based brand which is eyeing on the Indian F&B market for expansion through franchising. As a brand, Wok Boyz is focusing on bringing the authentic flavours from the streets of the Far East, infusing them with an urban environment.
Wok Boyz Asian Street Food is a brand which is being led by three boys who mutually carry the love for different Asian street cuisines and flavours. The supreme motive is to enhance our love for Asian street food, experimenting with it, giving it a healthy touch, and sharing it with the rest of the world.
It is just not possible to ignore India and its population, especially when you are talking about Asian Street food. Wok Boyz has originated two years back since when it has successfully managed to the web in good, quality customers based in Dubai.
Now as a brand, we are planning to try our luck in the Indian Territory which can leave a never-fading impression on our brand. India is known for spicy, delicious cuisines, especially street-based cuisines. We are just trying to offer them various kinds of flavours, being on a healthier side.
The Free-Style Wok Concept
India is an enormous market with significant potentials. People residing in different locations, namely – North, South, East, and West have different pocket sizes. But the concept for street food remains the same.
Thus, we are planning to enter India with the free-style wok concept which is uniform in nature. It can easily go across all the geographies, bringing us good and positive results as a brand. Being a cool and urban brand, we are focusing on the latest trends that might help us while catering in India.
Customisation & Transparency: Our USP's
At Wok Boyz, customers have the freedom to create meals as per their choice, without bothering about lengthy menus and too many options. This is literally what you create.
Every single customer is given the freedom in the form of choice to customise their meals or dishes accordingly, promoting customisation and transparency. Since we provide a healthy touch to every street food of ours, transparency is believed to act as a strong pillar behind achieving success in India and worldwide.
How do you See Competition from Brands in the same Segment?
Competition has never bothered me. In fact, it is one of those ways where you could learn and understand what latest is happening in the industry is and how the segment is evolving with time. Thus, competitions are healthy, before or prior to starting any business.
In fact, Dubai is crowded with different Wok-based food brands. But despite tough competition, we have been successful in selling over 1, 00,000 Wok boxes in the last 12 months. Along with that, an average of 200 deliveries per day was recorded within the last 6 months.
We are looking at area developers and master franchisees while expanding our business through franchising Pan India. In terms of capital, one needs to do a net investment around INR 29-32 lakhs where the payback period is around 2 years.
Additionally, you need to have an area around 600 sq ft for a high street model and 500 sq ft for a food court model.
