Tell us about the journey of your brand.

Unidus Services started in 2006. When we started, our aim was to provide the best staffing solution to our clients and candidates. We have survived the 2008 recession only because of our hard work and the trust our clients have in us and this should speak for us.  We recruit across various industry segments for multinational corporations as well as leading Indian business houses and in the past eight years, we have helped shape careers. We have provided the best staffing solutions to our clients and have built and maintained healthy relationship with them.

What are your future expansion strategies?

In recruitment business, you can learn a lot about different industries and their businesses.  It’s a kind of business where you can make lot money only if you are willing to give what it takes to win. We are looking forward to get associated with people who have the commitment to work hard and grow with us. We are planning to introduce different services like career guidance and counseling. We are also coming up with our own job portal.  At present, it is only restricted to our clients. We already have our branches across India. Now, we are aiming at expanding in every major city of the country.

What motivated you to go for franchise route for your business expansion?

Many aspire to have their own business, however, there are very few who succeed due to the tough competition in the market. We provide our franchisees a safe platform to learn the business. We provide them necessary training and work to start and grow with us. We support them in all the possible ways to succeed. Recruitment is a service industry and we have clients across India. It is beneficial for us when we have someone who is willing to take ownership to provide excellent service to our clients, just as we do in Mumbai.

What are the basic requirements to become a franchise partner?        

Recruitment business needs a lot of passion and commitment. We are looking for people who are willing to learn. We want our franchise partners to add value to our services towards our clients and candidates. We are planning to expand big and we want our franchise partners to be ready to take challenges that will help them grow along with us.

How the brand’s franchise model could benefit aspiring entrepreneurs?

We provide a safe platform to our franchise partners where we would be training them on every aspect of this business. We have our client base, and well-equipped business development team. Our franchise partners will not have to hunt for new business as we will be providing them with it.  Their part will be just to focus on delivery and servicing our clients. They would have access to all the global clients with whom business has been done before.

How do you analyse this Industry?

Recruitment business is about providing manpower to companies. Staffing demand has been on the rise in almost all sectors especially in IT, Banking, Financial, Insurance, Telecom, Retail etc. The human resource industry is growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 21% over the past four years and currently, it is more than Rs 25,000 crore industry.

Expansion plans for this year? Which cities do you plan to tap this year and why?

We are already in overseas recruitment for Gulf, Europe, Africa, and looking forward to expand business in these countries. In India, we are targeting some major cities. We want to have our presence at all the major cities of the country as this will help us provide excellent service to our clients and maintain a healthy and long term relationship with them.
