In an interaction, K V S Seshasai, CEO, Zee Learn Ltd talks about his brand’s inspiration and plans ahead…

What was the inspiration behind your brand?

Zee Learn Ltd owes its beginnings to a belief in the Essel Group and that of its Chairman Subhash Chandra that India's future can be brighter only if quality education is imparted to its future generation to help prepare them to take on every challenge that tomorrow might throw at them. Started in 1994 with this belief, Zee Learn Ltd is a leading educational organisation from the group with strong brands that have delivered success, respect and immense satisfaction to all its parents, students & franchisees. 

What is the USP of your brand?

K V S Seshasai, CEO, Zee Learn Ltd says: “While Excellence is at the core of our brands, one key aspect is that for us the ‘child is the centre of our universe'. We follow a philosophy of ‘what's right for the child’ and keeping that in mind we have designed our curriculum and activities that go beyond the routine and make learning fun and engaging”. Safety and security also form an important aspect in the education space and to address that we have conceived “ICARE” that primarily educates the parents and the community at large with respect to child abuse.” 

Support to franchisees..

  • Zee Learn Ltd provides all its franchisees with a proven model that helps them get Respect, Recognition, Rewards and Returns. 
  • Provides end to end management services to get the preschool and schools operationalised.
  • Helps in enrolments through concerted and joint marketing efforts.
  • Women edupreneurs who form 85 per cent of the people who run the Kidzee centres today also have special schemes and offers that we run for them which delights them and help us provide more entrepreneurial women with an excellent way to be productive for the society and earn respect and rewards as well.

Why franchising..

We have a belief that a movement needs to be community led. That is the belief that made us choose franchising as one of the ways of spreading our vision. We wish to have new age learning driving our future growth through Human Capital empowerment for the country. It can only happen when our society and our community becomes a part of this endeavour. Hence, we have adopted an approach to have our visionary business partners spread across the country to drive this movement. 

Future plans…

Aggressive growth is the mantra that Zee Learn Ltd follows and this growth will be fuelled by both the preschool and k-12 school segment. The plan is to keep strengthening the network and at the same time introduce innovative teaching aids to ensure quality education. Zee Learn has recently launched itself in Nepal and there are plans of getting in all the markets where there is sizable NRI population. As far as the cities are concerned, Zee Learn Ltd has been able to build good presence in the tier I, II cities and is always on the lookout for new pastures.
