One of the known Juice places in India, HAS Juice Bar’s Director Hemang Bhatt spoke to TFW’s Ekta Sharma Verma about the healthy and wealthy benefits of this business opportunity.

What is the concept of HAS Juice Bar?

HAS Juice Bar was launched in 2007 and since last six months we have adopted the franchise route to expand rapidly. It is all about being healthy by offering fresh fruit juices with no artificial colours added. We also have smoothies, pizzas, sandwiches as add on items. HAS Juice Bar is a health and juice bar concept to provide wholesome nutrition that a wide variety of fruits have to offer.  We want people to bid adieu to saturated and make way for the army of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and fiber for the day.  With the wide range we have, one can even make a meal out of it anytime of the day.

We have a total of 11 stores in Mumbai out of which four are franchisee run.

Any competition you see further?

We have been fortunate enough to get a tremendous response where ever we opened our store.  We have been working hard and giving the best to our patrons. There can be challenges but I don’t see any competition for us.  

So, anybody can join hands with your brand?

Well, we want to partner with someone who has a food business background. A non food business person will never understand the rules and thought process required for this kind of business.  We want to associate with someone who is dedicatedly involved in any food trade.

Are you open to associate with young blood?

 It is not about age. It is about counseling. We train our franchisees about our concept prior to any decisions.  Sometimes a 60 year old associate will not be able to understand what a 30 year old can comprehend. So, it is all about indulgence and acceptance.

Besides guidance, your training includes what?

We direct our franchisees on the range and recipe of juices. We assist them in recruitment but set them free to hire the staff. 15 days onsite training is provided to the franchisees at our Head office in Mumbai where right from the brand knowledge to nutritional value in the juices; everything is told to the franchisee.  We have microbiology and product experts who from time to time do audits related to hygiene and food. There are also mystery checks and testing of products every month to maintain superiority in service and preparations.

Cities you wish to tap next..

We want to enter into Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi and most Metros in the first phase of our expansion.
