Aartissan, a pioneer in introducing attitudinal grooming through diverse, multi-faceted activities such as seminars, workshops and public exhibitions, has carved a niche image for itself displaying sincere commitment towards ‘Learning from Life’. In an interview, Gayatri Bhatt, Co-Founder and Director, Aartissan Design Media shares the future plans of her company.

Ramanjit Kaur (RK): Could you please shed some light on the inception of Aartissan Design Media in India?

Gayatri Bhatt (GB): We have established Aartissan Academy in 2006 at Ahmedabad to provide quality training in the field of animation and multimedia. Concerned with acute shortage of skilled manpower in Indian animation showground, we made a deep research on industry expectations versus students’ specialisation. Realising the big gap between the two ends of spectrum, we established Aartissan, offering specialised animation and multimedia courses to create market ready students. Aartissan is not just another animation academy rather it is an initiative to prepare Indian students to leave an indelible mark on the industry.

RK: What inspired Aartissan Design Media to take the franchise route to expand its presence in India?

GB: We are inspired by our strong business values and an ever-expanding awareness, Aartissan has grown exponentially to become an extensively admired institute all across Gujarat as well as West India. Our pioneering educational business model offers committed support to our associates to achieve incredible ROI throughout their association with us, along with minimal operational expenses and other hassles.

RK: What practices and initiatives have you introduced in Aartissan Design Media?

GB: At Aartissan, we perform to take students out of a conventional learning set-up and expose them to different ways of learning. This includes seminars, workshops, public exhibitions, self-development activities, performance oriented training, brainstorming sessions and an informal and a friendly environment. The underlying idea behind all these initiatives is to combine fun with learning. Aartissan teaches practical aspects of working in industry rather than just technical and theoretical downloading.

RK: What will be the eligibility criteria for selecting the franchisees of your company?

GB: We look forward to an everlasting relationship with our franchisees and rededicate our commitment towards quality educational offerings to all students across India.

In an Aartissan franchise model, the location profile is extremely significant for the success of the franchisees. The prospective location should meet the few necessary parameters.

Franchise Fundamental Requirements:

  • Area Required (minimum)   : Approximately 1500 sq. ft
  • Investment Required          : Around Rs 38 lakh
  • Target Cities                      : Major cities and towns  

RK: How many franchised centres do you presently have in India? What are your target locations to expand Aartissan Design Media in India?

GB: The first phase of expansion aspires to look at spreading the footprint in the Western region of the country as Aartissan has its head centre in Gujarat and also reckoned as the animation hub expanse. This will be followed by penetration in the Northern region in the second phase. We are looking for pan-India expansion of Aartissan Academy.

RK: What kind of training and support will a franchisee gets after partnering with your company?

GB: We are committed to provide every possible service and support that is needed by franchise partner. Right from the inception till the smooth operation of the franchise institute, we are determined to strengthen our network through ongoing assistance program for all our franchisee. We provide 100 per cent support to our franchise partner to run their business in profitable way.

RK: What are the company’s future plans in terms of expansion through franchising?

GB: We are looking for pan-India expansion through franchising. The expansion plan aims to launch over maximum franchise units nationally and internationally by 2015. As we plan to spread our wings across the country to establish a significant presence, we invite dynamic and like-minded visionaries to collaborate with us and expand this novel business proposition to newer heights while maximizing mutual benefits.
