With a mission to deliver quality and innovative products to its customers, Longape Technology Pvt Ltd was shaped.  Brand’s Business Head, Prateek Ojha believes in growing mutually with the franchise partners. In a chat with Ekta Sharma Verma, he discusses about his brand and strategies employed.

How your brand was started and what was the inspiration?

Longape Technology Pvt Ltd was founded in the year 2012 with a sole objective of catering to e-commerce industry with quality and innovative products sourced from different corners of the world and bringing it to the reach of the common man.

We specialize in bringing innovative designs for accessories compatible with majority of the mobility devices. The team is continuously researching for innovative products which are there in market to bring it directly to consumers at much affordable prices, while we are also constantly monitoring new launches off shore to bring the product first hand to the customers.

What strategies do you employ to maintain the standards of your company?

We have stringent quality control measures starting from procurement to end user sale, which ensures that the standard is maintained. All products before procuring are user tested by various age groups to judge the convenience, acceptability, quality and durability. The same if rated 8.5 out of 10, order is placed with the manufacturer and supply chain planned. We have a person deputed at the manufacturer’s place in Korea and China to check the quality before the shipment is moved. Once the shipment is received at our warehouse, it is scanned again for manufacturing defects before taking the inventory. Only, good inventory taken into stock is shipped to our franchisee/customers.

What are your brand’s future expansion strategies?

We have diversified into other categories of products, including pen drives, and have brought in some out of the box products to India. In order to increase the reach of the product to masses, we are now giving franchise rights and opening own stores which sell these products exclusively. By the end of this fiscal year, we plan to have 50 outlets.

What did motivate you to go for franchise route for your business expansion?

The increased demand in product and high acceptance by consumers made us think about franchise route. We wanted to increase the reach of this product to the masses.

What kind of opportunities and challenges are seen ahead in this sector, considering the franchise sector is getting bigger with time?

Currently, there are a very few players like us who are offering franchise opportunities. Due to lack of options, consumers end up spending money on counterfeit products. We intend to bring high quality and stylish products to consumers at an affordable price with some unique quality mark assuring genuine product and thus eliminating the challenges of counterfeit.

How many stores do you plan to open this year?

We have plans to open at least 50 stores in India by this fiscal year.
