Namita Bhagat (NB): Share the origin and growth of your company and how did the company opt for franchise route.
Abhishek Malviya (AM): Established on May 7, 2006, the company comprises of an ardent and dynamic team. Wonder Education Pvt. Ltd is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, in the field of education since 1999. We have made it a point to dedicate ourselves to the task of transmuting children into their full potential of ‘Wonder Child’, through our revolutionary training system.
Our aim is to become a leader in the field of creative education and to create students with high moral values with strong beliefs to ensure the kids to face competition successfully and prove themselves worthy.
NB: How many franchise locations do you have at present? What are your future expansion plans?
AM: At Present, 1,000 + franchisees are operating in more than 20 states and we have more expansion plans in the pipeline. New products have been introduced such as Wonder Kidz ‘The Concept School’ and a few other coming up like Wonder Memory, Wonder English and so on.
NB: What are the reasons for opting franchise model for expansion?
AM: We opted for franchise model for expansion due to its quick and easy accessibility and reach in that particular area, place, and state. The company opted for a franchisee route because this is the best way to reach out to many people and places. India being a vast country it is not possible for one person to reach everywhere but with franchisee network, we can be present with our views and ideas through out the world. It is convenient for the local people, corresponds well with the franchisees of that particular location. The detailed knowledge of the product can be easily understood.
NB: What kind of training and support do you lend to your franchisees?
AM: We provide training related to marketing, counseling, and promotions along with the in-house training of the product to make the franchisee aware of the advantages of the product. Necessary support and proper information coupled with requisite material to develop the business product is also given. The personal calls by marketing managers and advertisements in the print and electronic media shall continually bring these advantages to the notice of prospective franchisees.
NB: What are the selection criteria for choosing your franchisee?
AM: Our selection criteria are based on the status and profile of the franchisee, especially related to education industry. Initial investment varies between Rs 25,000 to Rs five lakh and space of minimum 400 – 2,000 sq.ft, which depends upon the product and the grade of the franchisee. The company offers franchises at four levels - state master, district master, unit and overseas to teach this revolutionary Program.
