How is the franchise model relevant to a K12 brand and why?

Quality K12 education is an indispensable part of our nation’s growth. It not only requires patience, commitment and dedication, but passion too. We are in the business of creating future global leaders by providing them the best education and a learning curve with a clear vision of providing holistic learning to all our students. The franchising model is a crucial part of achieving our goals, facilitating our mission of spreading our ideas and efforts to society at large. We have individuals from the community taking up a franchise and driving early childhood education or K-12 education in their neighbourhoods with local expertise and best in class tools, techniques, learning plans and training. This in turn helps the community and the brand become one with the cause. Knowledge and resource sharing is an important aspect of this model, where Zee Learn Ltd’s best curriculum join hands with local expert visionaries to enrich the lives of children in their communities, thus making it the most effective and relevant model for education.

What are the criteria to choose the right franchise partner?

Zee Learn’s brands are built on the philosophy of 'What’s Right For the Child (WRFC)' and therefore we take care to ensure we get partners who share our vision and hence provide best in class education to children. A right franchise partner should be driven and must have a vision to provide best education to children. Apart from these qualities, we ensure that the partner meets technical requirements too.

What kind of training and support do you provide to your franchise partners?

To ensure smooth operation of a franchise, we put in place a team which helps the franchise owner in both pre- opening and post opening training apart from the regular support that Zee Learn provides. Zee Learns’ Blended Learning Design (BLD) gives necessary guidelines to teach, prescribes books to be followed and so on. We handhold our partners in times of initial transition and provide constant support even for smallest of details. 

  • Proprietary content: Our methodology “iLLUME” is certified by M S Baroda University. "ILLUME", places the ―unique child in the centre of learning process & gives him/her freedom to learn. This methodology has been further enhanced and developed into interactive iLLUME to be future ready and best in class.
  • ILLUME Kit: Starter kit based on our proprietary methodology that consists of playing equipments, puzzles and books etc.
  • Training: Provide 60-80 hours training to all your teachers which focus on enabling them with skill set in delivering the content as per child’s needs and motivating children.
  • Marketing and Enrollment support: We work jointly with our partners to increase admissions in the school by providing a comprehensive marketing plan.
  • Operational Support: We support all aspects of running a pre-school i.e. setup guidelines, color schemes, safety and security measures, recruitment and e-Kidzee software for paperless work.

In which cities are you present? What are the markets that you are planning to expand?

Currently, we have 89 Mount Litera Zee Schools spread across in 75 cities, some of these cities are- Kolkata, Mumbai, Amritsar, Chennai, Roorkee, Ghaziabad, and Jhansi. Zee Learn follows an aggressive growth strategy. We plan to keep strengthening the network and at the same time bring in innovative teaching aids to ensure quality education. We have strong presence in tier I, II cities Indian cities and are always on a lookout for more opportunities to provide world class education. With an interactive curriculum, defined pedagogy, large franchise network and dedicated workforce, our intent would be to revolutionize Indian education space through Mount Litera Zee School in the next five years.

Requirement to take franchise of Mount Litera Zee School

  • Area- 2 to 3 acres of land
  • Initial Investment: Construction cost of min 90,000 sq ft over 3 phases (please also note that the initial investment is dependent on the model of the school and could vary based on location and other factors)
  • All partners undergo an extensive training program on the strategies for owning and operating a successful school that provides best in class learning environment to children. In addition to these, partners and their staff members receive initial and continuous training for the MLZS curriculum and Litera Octave Pedagogy (Proprietary to Mount Litera Zee School) and the delivery methods.
