Ezeego1.com, the online travel search brand, is now set to make robust expansion in tier II and III cities. In an interaction with Ekta Sharma Verma, Neelu Singh, COO, Ezeego1.com talks about her brand’s plans in the near future.

Tell us about your brand Ezeego1.com.

Ezeego1.com is a comprehensive online portal that provides end-to-end travel related services, including flight bookings, online hotel reservations, holidays and package tours, car rentals, train ticket booking, bus tickets, cruises and more. Founded in 2006, the brand helps to find the best deals on air bookings on all Indian and International airlines flight deals.

So far, the brand has gained immense popularity for its attractive airfares and holiday deals. The brand has a strong presence across international markets such as Australia, GCC, USA, Sri Lanka and UK. In India, the brand has 17 franchisees in its network.  The brand uses the best technology platform in the Indian travel industry and employs a unique single window platform for multiple services.

With umpteen brands mushrooming in the market, how does your brand aims to stand out among the crowd?

Firstly, we have the lowest investment model as compared to competition that facilitates faster achievement of RoI. Secondly, we involve ourselves completely in the business from the beginning till the transfer of knowledge and expertise is completed. This is achieved by handholding so that the franchisees are equipped to operate independently.

What is the raison d'être behind adopting the franchise business model?

Having realised the need to offer customers the convenience of face-to-face interactions with us in their respective cities, we decided to set-up retail stores across India through franchise model. Needless to say, this would also largely help augment brand awareness and promote entrepreneurship.

What kind of training and related business support do you offer to the franchisees?

We offer staff recruitment assistance, intensive staff training, owner induction, assistance in planning and executing marketing campaigns, on-site support during launch and remote custom monitoring for at least a month thereafter. We also provide sales support through our regional sales teams and assign a central key account manager to each franchisee.

What are your expansion plans?

We plan to open 30 stores by the end of the year. All of the stores will be franchisee-owned and operated. While, we are open to consider applications from all over the country, we are primarily targeting tier II and III cities to facilitate deeper market penetration.
