Roy's Institute of Competitive Examination - RICE Education started in 1985 under the aegis of Samit Ray. An ex-data analyst at Lipton, he dropped out of his secured job to follow his long cherished dream to become a teacher. He started as a private teacher. As the demand for professional coaching gained pace, Ray began to swim with the tide. What started with an inaugural batch of 20 students has in due course of time helped lakh of students to secure positions in central and state government offices.

Going Ahead
After making strategic contribution through their different educational verticals, RICE is further diversifying its portfolio to cover the entire life cycle of a student from Kindergarten KG to post graduation (PG). RICE plans to leverage technology to get quantum growth in customer acquisition, education delivery, online learning riding the 'Make in India' wave. The brand will be revamped completely very soon.
By next fiscal the company is planning a country-wide expansion with 25 franchise centers for RICE, 25 for Adamas Institute and a new launch of their Montessori school named Adamas Kid.
