Opening a salon is one career option that doesn't require high academic qualifications by the owner or franchisee. Do you think it's true and has it given empowerment to women entrepreneurs in tier-II and III cities?

What action will you take against your franchisee, in the case of breach of trust within the franchise agreement ?

Naturals prides itself on being a franchise friendly company. We prefer a policy of open communication and transparency rather than focusing solely on the letter of the law. However, if the actions of the franchise partner warrant termination of the franchiseship, we will not hesitate to do so.

Do you prefer re-franchising or conversion franchising as the mode of expansion for you brand? What will be the selection criterion?

While we are open to all types of franchising, we find that re-franchising or conversion franchising form only a small percentage of our numbers. Quite often, there are many changes to be made in terms of processes, interiors and infrastructure. As a rule, we select franchise partners who are like minded and have similar ideals and passion to make their mark in the salon industry.

What can be done to increase the sales of your franchisee run outlet?

Visibility and access of the salon is very important. Other than this, attention has to be paid to ATL and BTL marketing and an increase in the number of footfalls. Once footfalls increase, then focus will be on increasing the average bill value, which can be achieved with well trained staff and quality products. Efficient and quick responses by the corporate, especially from the operations and customer care teams also are necessities.

What are the points to be remembered by your franchisee at the time of terminating the franchise agreement?
