Burg plans 50 stores in India

Dutch watch-phone manufacturer Burg has opened its first exclusive retail store in Kolkata. The company plans to open 50 such stores including the recently opened outlet, in India during 2012. Burg India will launch stores in Delhi, Guwahati, Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur, Mumbai and Ahmedabad in the next few months. In India, the brand’s products are marketed by KG Retail Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Burg caters to those customers who do not prefer to carry a mobile phone while travelling or involved in any outdoor activity. It provides mobile telephony options; both on CDMA and GSM platforms on a wrist watch. The product range is priced between Rs 9,000 and Rs 24,000.
